Here are answers to some frequently-asked questions.
The current State Championship schedule is online here. Regional associations that are offering events are noted on our regional association pages.
All club packets for prior registered clubs are mailed at least thirty (30) days prior to the date they chartered the previous year. New clubs can request a club packet by sending us an e-mail message with their complete mailing address. A club packet cannot be faxed but will be sent to you by surface mail. To Charter and insure your club is $50. To insure the practice site as an "additional insured" is $20. NOTE: To additionally insure the practice site you must complete the second form in the packet "Processing Procedures". You may also view the forms online in the near future.
We, as a state, cannot issue Certificates nor does the National Office. They are only issued by the insurance company. When received, we forward them on Friday. It has been taking approximately 45 days for the insurance company to get the Certificates to the club leader. Club leaders must mail in the Charter Application/Request for Additional form as soon as possible in order to have the proof. Do not delay! The numerous requests to fax the Certificates have put a large burden on us, the National office, and the insurance company. Please mail them in when you receive them if you need proof of insurance right away.
The clubs that charter with us do so for insurance. Not all clubs need the insurance and therefore, we do not have a list of every club operating in California. Always check with the high school coach in your area to see if he/she is running a club or check with friends. Some clubs that charter with us have authorized us to include them in our club search database, which is also available through our regional association pages. If you don't find what you need using this online search feature you can e-mail or call us
All officials who were licensed last season should have already received their renewal forms from USWOA in Pennsylvania. PLEASE sign up now rather than wait for the peak of the season. You will get on their mailing list and get your annual stamp back much faster if you do so in December. If you LOST your book, write to the USWOA office requesting a new one. You need to include a $5.00 check to cover the cost of the new book. The states do not have books/stamps to issue. Information on how to contact USWOA is on our officials' page.
