Eligibility

Must be a California resident

Eligibility for Boys Frosh/Soph Folkstyle

Open to All athletes who are current members in good standing of USA Wrestling. Only open to Freshmen and Sophomores enrolled and attending grades 9-10 High School only.

Eligibility for Girls High School Folkstyle

Open to all High School girls enrolled and attending Grades 9-12 High School only.

Eligibility for Kids Folkstyle

Open to all Bantam, Midget, Novice, Schoolboy.

Entry Fee

$26.00 if pre-registered, $30.00 if not pre-registered

Must have Current USA Card, available at tournaments for $30.00

Proof of Age

Must Show proof of age: Boys Frosh-Soph/Girls Folkstyle may show school document or school ID!! Kids must show a birth certificate.

Wrestling Starts

Saturday, Sunday March 8 & 9 at 8:00 a.m.

Rules

USA Wrestling rules governing age groups, weights and match times will be used along with the National Federation Association scoring rules.

Boys Weight Classes

103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, HW

Girls Weight Classes

95, 102, 109, 116, 123 , 130, 138, 146, 155, 165, 185, 185+ (25 lbs maximum difference)

The contestants will be weighed with their singlet on without shoes after having been examined by qualified Medical trainers who are obliged to eliminate any wrestler who presents any danger of contagious disease. No weight tolerance for the singlet. Athletes shall have two attempts to make weight, the initial attempt when called to the scale and an immediate challenge of another scale located in close proximity to the initial weigh-in scale (s). Athletes may not leave the weigh-in area or initiate any activity for means of weight reduction. A wrestler who fails to make weight will be allowed to move up to the next weight class.

Singlets: You will NOT need a red or blue singlet for this State event.
