In addition to these state-level events there are around 150 local wrestling tournaments offered each year by our seventeen regional associations. For local schedules check our regional association pages.

Birth certificates and your current USAW membership cards are required at state championships. If you forget your membership card you must purchase another one without reimbursement. If your USAW card has been destroyed or lost, you must replace it at a cost of $5.00. You can call your Club Leader, Coach, Association Director or write the State office for a replacement. If you move to a new address after purchasing a card, send a change of address form to the State office to continue your USAW newspaper subscription.

No roster will be accepted at events. Purchase the cards at the event if there is not enough mailing time for processing by the State office. Red and blue singlets are required at state championships; no school uniforms are allowed.

In order to coach in the corner at state championships, a floor pass is required. To obtain a floor pass, a coach must have a current USAW Coach's Membership Card and must be a minimum of a Copper Certified Coach. All floor passes must be worn at all times when on the floor. A Copper Clinic will be offered from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday night at each State Tournament. For more information on copper certification, go here.

For details on Club Championships, go here.

Anyone interested in bidding for a State Championship should contact their Association Chairman who will request a bid form from Leroy Evans. Bids should be received by October 1st of the year preceding the event. All bids go to the Site Selection Committee for their recommendation and the final vote is made by the State Board of Directors at the Fall Meeting.

Always verify any tournament before traveling. Schedules may get changed on short notice.
